Hello
Dave lives in Utah as an “empty nester” with his wife and two dogs, quenching his thirst for adventure by playing paintball on the weekends, and pitting himself against the glorious Wasatch Mountains as an avid snowboarder. He has recently turned his adventurous spirit to academics and will finish his Creative Writing degree with SNHU in the fall of 2025. Not one to rest long on his laurels, David plans on beginning his Masters in 2026.
My Story
Long, long ago, a young David left his home, newly acquired sales career, and schooling to join a traveling carnival. Like the knights and adventurers found within the pages of the fantasy novels he read voraciously, the carnival offered wild travels to exotic places like Eagle, Colorado and Salmon, Idaho.
Scratching out a living while exploring the breadth of Western US was full of pitfalls and wild successes, not unlike the scenes where glorious heroes fight their way through mounting odds to win favor and acclaim. The lure of adventure and exploration was just too hard to resist and carnivals have now encompassed a majority of his life for over three decades.
To keep entertained during the lonely hours of driving, he told himself stories, creating amazing worlds and characters that have become lifelong friends. These friends still ride along with him as he continues to travel to parts known and unknown with his traveling carnival business.
